Just a thought. First, they new turbo on my V6 is also leaking on the compressor side. I've not yet figured out the cause but it seems to be common with the V6. What it sounds like with your V6 is the crankcase is getting pressurized to some degree. This could be caused by tired piston rings. I had a Ford Pinto many years ago and if I removed the oil-fill cap, it felt like an air compressor when idling. The cause was worn out rings. I rebuilt the engine and all was well. I can't think of another cause for a pressurized crankcase?
