Don't make the STA problem so complicated you guys! The batteries cause the alarm to go off randomly so if you like the chirps but don't want to replace the module, just open up the alarm box and take out the batteries. After doing so you will have a STA message since the circuit detects an open loop in the alarm box. AFTER you remove the batteries, have your independent disable the STA message using the tech 2. This method lets you keep the chirps and the alarm, but gets rid of the problem causing batteries that make the alarm go off randomly. I did this 5 months ago and I have not heard a peep from my alarm. And it works perfectly!
