Wow, it's nice to be back on this board. I had a 2000 9-5 that I traded in on a Honda Accord 3 years ago. I must admit, I loved driving the 2000, but it seemed like a huge headache as far as problems. They all seemed to rear their ugly head at 100k+ (I traded it in with 125k for $4k). As reliable as the Honda has been, I still am longing for a 9-5 and have been just browsing 2004 CPO 9-5's online. I don't the radio setup of the 05+.
Basically, I just wanted to get opinions on the 2 years and to see if things have improved over time. The cars I'm looking at are generally between 30-40,000 miles. Ideally I'd love to keep the car a number of years. I'm relatively handy as far as basic maintenance and must admit -- I love the community atmosphere of this board. Honda's are great cars, but try getting any information on them without running into pseudo-street racers, ha.
Judging by my 2000 experience, I definitely want to go CPO with at least 2 years of warranty left. I drive about 20-25,000 miles a year.
Thanks.
