Only BMW has a better warranty of Saab's competitors.. even now with the reduction. It's still better than Infiniti, Lexus, Audi, MB, Jag, Volvo, Acura. Realistically, Saab shoppers will cross shop those brands.. not Chevy or Buick. Most likely no Saab shopper would ever know a Buick Lucerne has a better warranty.
If GM cut the warranty on its other brands like Chevy, droves of shoppers would just migrate to the Korean brands with their better quality and warranty.
It is an issue to me that GM views Saab as 'premium' but treats it like the unwanted stepchild.. with shorter warranty, way less OnStar coverage at the same price as a Cobalt owner pays (Swedish Saabs don't get 1. Turn-by-turn navigation, 2. Remote keyless unlock, 3. Mobile vehicle diagnostics...) so somewhere, Saab gets the short shrift -but I still love mine!
