on our '03 9-5 Linear wagon. We had Michelin MXV4 Energy tires for 30K miles and they were down to the bars, and that's really only about 20K miles since we run winter tires 4.5 months of the year. Wanted something that'd last a bit longer.
This is my wife's ride and the family hauler, and I know it's not an Aero, but assuming you don't need the V-rated speed capabilities, consider an H-rated tire. They will wear better and you don't give up much for most types of driving.
I searched online and talked to my local tire guy who sells Michelins, Bridgestones, Nokians, Fuzions, Uniroyals and a couple others. He turned me on to the Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring tire. Said I would see better mileage than I'd get from Michelin Primacy or Bridgestone Serenity Touring tires and the total was $535 for 215/55x16. The 17" sizes for an Aero would be more.
Immediately left on a 1500 trip with the car fully loaded, the first 450 miles in driving rain. They are a great tire. Superb in the wet. Handling is equivalent to the Michelins, ride is good, they're quiet, turn-in OK. Seem to have enough siping to be okay in light snow. Can't tell about wear, but they seem like a good value.
