Tonight I drove through a deep roadside puddle and suddenly the warning light and battery light came on. I lost steering power. Pulled off quickly and determined that the serpentine belt had come off. Anyone had this happen? Could it be related to something else or is it possible for the force of the water to throw it off?

I limped 4 miles home after stopping twice to keep the engine from heating into the red.

I saw a few posts that putting the belt back on may be a DIY project. Does anyone have a link to good instructions? I just had it replaced last December, along with pulleys for the 60K service.
