My 2002 Arc used mainly for commuting. Was rotating tires today and noticed the brake pads are really thin all the way around but worse in the front. They must be bonded pads because I would think the rivets would be contacting the rotors by now. Rotors look smooth but very worn as there is a ridge on the outer edge. Looks like new rotors and pads. Just surprised they didn't last longer. I'll order the parts and drive until they are gone. Is that about normal for pad/rotor life? For comparison, my Chrysler (this car replaced) went 54K miles on the brake pads with same driving pattern.
