The '06 ride will be a lot stiffer than the 2000 wagon as it it is even stiffer than the 2000 Aero. Squeaks - stiffer=more squeaks but there are also differences between individual cars that should otherwise be identical. Proper maintenance of weatherstrip etc makes a difference.
I tow a small sailboat (just over 1000 lbs) with no difficulty, although it's pretty flat here. Only thing is finding the 'sweet spot' in speed where the transmission will go to top gear and stay there.
Look for posts by Ian Glenday as he tows a larger travel trailer.
