Maybe this is possible, although unconventional. Outside the box so to say.
The capacity of a dry manual gearbox is 2.0 liters.
If you are going to attempt this, consider the following.
1. If you can't withdraw 1.5 liters or more, the method you propose is really not very effective.
2. If you do withdraw >1.5 liters, replace exactly as much as you have withdrawn. The difference between what you withdraw and 2.0 liters is the amount of used oil that will remain in the gearbox.
3. PROBLEM: You have no way of knowing whether your gearbox was low on oil, unless you can withdraw close to 2.0 liters (gearbox capacity).
Investing in the special wrench (Saab P/N 87 92 590) is really a better way to go.
