My CEL stayed on tonight when I started my car. It's been a few weeks since it did this. Last time the codes were random misfires in all cylinders and I attributed it to bad gas I got the day before from a weird station, but I got Shell V-power and am half-way through the tank this time. Last time it shut off after three starts. I'm thinking it's the DI cassette trying to tell me it is tired. Duh. The car has 36k miles on it and has the original plugs as far as I know. It's a 2004 Aero so the interval for plugs is 40k? I should do them ASAP anyway. Should I just order the darn DI cassette or do you think it's worth trying new plugs first? $232 is a lot right now for a new DI cassette. I think the DI cassette is TK3.6. The car has seemed kind of anemic lately too. Anyone ever replace plugs and DI cassette and get amazing performance boosts? Haha... one can dream, right? TIA.
