A Boxster S is pretty quick, but even an S is going to feel different than your Aero, mainly because of the torque curve of your Aero's turbo motor. Remember, your Aero develops maximum torque at a little over 2K rpm, so it really puts you back in your seat quickly (believe me I know - I've got on too). But that Boxter develops it's power at higher engine speeds, so you've got to wind it up a bit to really let the power loose. If you do, you'll find it to be very rewarding and quite powerful. And it will also feel lighter and "up on its toes". But again, it's a different kind of experience.
A word of caution - if you get serious about one be sure to get it checked out by a competent shop. They can have oil leak and auxiliary shaft problems that are as serious as Saab sludge problems.
