over the last few thousand miles my 01 Aero is developing several front end soft clunks. I assumed swaybar bushings but they seem tight?
it only does this when going from stop to slow start (as the weight distribution changes, or as you go to a stop) you hear and feel a clunk/pop and you feel it in the floor/pedals it is a 5spd. it will also sometimes do it when moving slow (under 10 mph) and turning the wheel, like turning into or out of a parking space. it is getting worse, and when it first started I jacked it up and pryed on all the bushings and didn't see anything! it sounds like it could be in the strut, but the strut mounts are good, sway bar links have been changed and good, Ball jts are good, and it is not a knock like a ball joint(it does not do it over bumps or at least it isn't noticable), more of a clunk or Pop I am sure it is a bushing just don't see it! I guess I could easily remove the sway links and that would confirm it is or isn't the swaybar bushings??
