Better start saving towards a new exhaust system, that rear muffleer, the weld to the center pipe, and the center pipe itself are looking sort of ratty.
For brake work, I use a hydraulic floor jack equipped with an Eastwood body seam adapter, some emergency blocking in case the jack fails, and NEVER place any part of my body where it could get crushed by a falling car.
Since the sub-frame carries the cars weight when the tires are touching the ground, there should be no problem with it being the load point on the jack stands. Just don't posiiton them where they may distort a reinforcing bend on the sub-frame.
