So I just came back from my Saab mechanic. We ran tests on the tranny all morning and these are the results: Forward gears engage properly, drive okay, and the Tech2 shows all solenoids are engaging properly. However, in reverse, there is no transmission output other than the occasional clunk, and the Tech2 reports no error codes. We then drained the fluid, which was full of a fine metallic dust...didn't seem like a good sign. At this point, I'm having him take the tranny out and I ordered a low mileage used one from a local Saab wrecking yard. Transmission should be installed by Monday. I'm still very skeptical why a transmission that was taken care of every 30K and never showed signs of problems decided to blow up minutes after I get it back from the tire shop's hands...
I appreciate everybody's input and will update you on the transmission repair. I must be one of the lucky few on this board to go through this! =D
