Dead at the Mall

So my wife calls from the mall.
Her '03 Linear Wagon won't start. So I drive through the 15 stoplights to get there. Turn the key and there is zip, nada, bupkiss. The seats won't move, the SID won't light. Dash lights are on but dim. With the key in the ON position there's a faint fast clicking from behind the dash. With a door open the dome light blinks about once a second. And the tranny won't move out of park unless I do the bypass trick.
Clearly electrical, with a dead battery a likely suspect, but this is a sudden failure-- no warning at all.
So it was towed to the dealer and they will get to play while we go away next week, and we're using an airplane anyway. Looks like the CPO warranty gets to pay for a little more love on the wagon. It bought us a new DI Cassette two weeks back and I'll have them do a thorough look through while it's in the grips of the dealer.
Any thoughts on the non-start from you guys? And what else should I have the dealer be looking for at 83,404 miles? One month to go on the CPO.
Thanks!
