Sounds like a failed battery or a corroded battery cable? BTW, my SAAB battery (SAAB label on it) failed in the same way except the alarm system was also going off too and I couldn't seem to deactivate it. Not sure why the battery would fail so abruptly? Guess it must be a SAAB thing? I installed a Group 41 instead of the 91 or 48. Got the Group 41 on a clearance for $45, with a 3-year non pro-rated warranty and then pro-rated for the remaining - 100 months total. Been fine so far but no place for the vent hose. Good luck. I enjoyed having the CPO on my car. If I was to buy another used SAAB, it would have to be a CPO car. My CPO ran out on 08/06/08.
