The traditional dealer repair for anything related to the ACC (heater box) is to replace the entire thing. 2613 is a reasonable "dealer price" to replace the heater box. There is a *lot* of labor involved, and the part is very expensive.
However the vast majority of repairs to the heater box can be done from the driver side or passenger side with a $20 stop arm, or a $200 "sleeve kit". Typically this was limited to the DIYer or Saab Independents. It seems that some "savvy dealers" are now offering to fix rather than replace the heater box, which is great news.
There is no need to worry about the repair. Scott Saab did the right thing. it is strong and will last.
