You'll be fine with a quality all-season on the 17x7.5s.
Typically you want a narrower tire for snow, but in this area:
a) it doesn't snow a whole lot to begin with (having said that, we'll get buried this year...)
b) the snow remediation is not terribly bad, unless you live deep in the suburbs or country on a dead end street.
c) the most real snow driving we do is from our parking spot to the road, maybe 20 feet...
Blizzaks are a waste in this area, IMO. Their big claim to fame is their ice layer, but running them on asphalt fairly quickly wears that off. If you live in Minnesota or Maine, you probably want that, but here, you'd be better off with another tire.
I've used Nokian WRs in the past, but more recently Bridgestone Potenza "high performance all season" tires.
The combination of today's all season tires and the light winter we get has made me change my mind about dedicated snows. If I move, then I'll re-evaluate.
