Here in Central CT (on "the other side of the river" from B Millar) I see a lot of Saabs, so many they're just not unusual enough to encourage waves. I have noticed, however, that the low resale prices are encouraging younger drivers to buy 9-5s and trick them out. Unfortunately (imho) they simply copy the approach of Honda and Subaru drivers, adding wings, overdone wheels and those awful tin can mufflers hanging under the bumper.
One of the neighborhood boys (10 YO, I think) stopped to chat this evening, and said how cool my pampered baby would look with chrome wheels. (!!) The youngsters just aren't into stealth, I guess.
When we drive out to Western Pa, my Saab is really, really lonesome. Last year, in a week long visit to WPA, we saw one (1) other Saab. People would eyeball ours like it was a rarity. Volvos were a little more common.
