P1312 pretty much guarantees that the DIC is on its way out. I would wait for it to come back again to replace it, just in case it was by chance a fluke, though I doubt it was.
The TK3.6 DI always throws this code when it "fails." I'm not sure if anyone has actually had it fail beyond the misfire codes though. No one wants to stick around to find out if it's going to fail all the way, or risk catalytic converter damage. I think common practice is to replace it and keep the old one in the trunk as a spare.
