I removed the rad cooling fan ass'y and have the rad loose and ready to be pulled out but did not disconnect the transmission coolant lines yet.
Today I called the local Winnipeg Saturn Saab dealer and was amazed to find the price in Cdn$ for a Saab radiator was actually a few dollars net less than the Nissens brand sold from eEuroparts!
The bad thing is that there are NONE in all of Canada and the dealer has to bring it in from a Saab US warehouse... 7-10 business days normally! But for $95 Fedex o'night I can have it in a day or 2. That nets out to only about $40 more than getting it from eEuropoart w/o the hassle of probably waiting until the following week for UPS standard and no brokerage issues for me.
Later when my car is back on the road, I will order all the hoses, thermostat, etc. I need a few days to absolutely verify that my cabin fan itself is the intermittent problem with my climate control and not the fan speed controller or dash controller.
