When cold the initial bite isn't strong and pedal pressure is rather non-linear compared to what I am used to. However, if you really stomp on them even when cold they do preform well. As mentioned by others it seems to be the nature of the pads not that the braking system is weaker.
I'm not sold on ceramic for general street driving. Just a pandering to people complaining break dust is my conclusion. I'll probably look at some other pad options when the time comes and see what that does for the car. Although given I pretty much use it only on the hwy it will probably be some time.
