Steering not as precise as it used to be. Weird.

Hello everyone,
I hit a pothole recently with my '04 9-5 Aero, my alignment was off, had it fixed. The wheels are straight and my mechanic checked my suspension bits and said that the car is fine. However, I find that it does not track particularly well and that it takes a "setting" after hitting bumps, i.e. the car will pull slightly to the left after hitting a bump, and a little while latter it will pull slightly to the right after hitting another bump. There is no "dominant side" for the pull, and the car does seem properly aligned, on flat, smooth pavement.
I know SAABs are very sensitive to road camber, every SAAB I've driven has needed a bit of a hand in keeping it going down the road straight when the road is slightly inclined (which most are, to avoid water buildup). So, this is not the feeling I'm referring to. It just seems like the front end is "loose", or not as buttoned down as before, the steering seems less direct.
Any ideas on what this could be, if there is indeed a reason to feel this? The car has about 50k miles, is a manual. My '00 Aero had a weak feeling rear suspension (the upgrate to Bilsteins was worth every penny), whereas this car feels certainly more "flat", with less bounce, but the front suspension does feel a bit "floaty" sometimes. With this weird steering feel, it makes for not so great a drive...
Ah, steering feel. So important! I'd trade power for better steering feel anyday. Thankfully, the SAAB is pretty good with this, but mine isn't quite up to its predecessors, or even itself, lately!
Thanks!!!
Rick
