Hello all. I have a 2002 Saab 9-5 2.3 Linear with 100k miles and am getting no turbo boost during acceleration. The dash needle is moving but goes only to the end of the white on the (turbo)gauge and not into the yelow. This is a sudden condition as all was well previously, but it is now immediately very noticeable.

I have read about the problems with this turbo and suspect it has gone bad but I don't have any of the associatted symptons others have had. The car is emitting no smoke and the engine is running fine with no bad noises. It will get up to highway speed, it just takes awhile. I have only driven the car about 10 miles since this was noticed.

I hope nothing is about to blow up and do damage to the engine. I want to drive it to my local mechanic (non-Saab) because the dealer is too far (25 miles). It would help if I had some clue as to what is happening. Any thoughts, advice is greatly appreciatted. Thanks! Mike
