If your car shows OK milege on highway but bad in city. Then PLS check the oxygen sensors first. When they are old(every 100,000km or 60,000miles) or contaminated, they make the ECU think the engine needs more gas, therfore bad mileage. Saab uses Bosch oxygen sensors. Bosch says they last for 100,000 miles. But, that is an under an optimal driving condition. Tech2 can not catch oxygen sensor contamination. Second, clean the two throtle body sensors. Carbon contaminated sensors can also result bad milege. Thirdly, clean the fuel injectors. You can find some repair shops have injector cleaning machine. Saab uses Bosch injectors and many other makers do.When cleanded, the injectors become as new. Lastly, if Tech2 cyinder check shows miss fires, they can affect engine vibration, mount, and contaminate oxygen sensors.
My car was like yours. I did all three but the DI change. Engine vibration is now almost gone. My car now drops water from mufler tips. Accel pedal is now hard. It now runs like new.
