Fuel pump alive? Posted by MikeJavo [Email] (#1093) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MikeJavo) on Fri, 23 Oct 2009 08:58:09 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I just plugged my removed FP to a 12 V DC source, and it runs!! It doesn't even sound bad, but it does have fluctuation issues, it slows and speeds up.
Is it possible that it's just weak and can't prime the car enough, or am I looking at a relay or CPS issue.
I still didn't receive my replacement pump, things take a while to ship to Canada, but I'm wondering if I should reinstall the old pump, and check the CPS, which I replaced half a year ago.
Would a CPS or a weak battery cause the car to sputter and stall at highway speeds?? I was able to get the car started for 2 minutes on the side of the road while banging on the gas tank, that's why I've been suspecting the fuel pump this whole time.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
