I'll give the cleaning a try. It's getting cold here (Upstate NY) and I am sans nice warm garage to work in, but I'll do the best I can. I suppose cleaning is easier than replacing. This car sees frequent 300+ miles journeys - am I safe rolling with just a "cleaned" throttle body or should I bite the bullet and purchase a reman'd unit for reliability? I suppose if I could reset the codes on the road I'd be OK, but the TB would still be locked in its limp mode. This unit has about 90k miles on it and is from 2004 - is this an "improved" unit over the stock one or can it be expected that it is just as unreliable as the one that was in the car from the factory and that it has reached the end of its lifespan with that mileage? Thanks again for all of the info!
Nik.
