well...I have done it once before back in 1993 when I moved back to Vancouver from Toronto, it a 1980 FIAT Spider no less. 4,400 kms would equal about 420 litres of fuel at $1.25/litre. So $525 for fuel, I have a sister in Winnipeg and friends in Calgary so accommodation shouldn't be too bad. Add airfare and it might be a wash if shipping by rail is still around $1,300. The again I would be putting 4,400Kms in 3-4 days and if I remember my first 25 years in Winnipeg correctly the winter weather can be nasty. Why do you ask...are you wanting to drive shotgun a la dumb and dumber?
I'm not crazy about buying/shipping a vehicle w/o eyeballing it first but it may make economic sense to do it that way. Such is life.
Thanks for the feedback.
