I can't see where there'd be that much difference in the engine in your '99 and my '04, except for things like the PCV system (and presumably yours has been upgraded). Accordingly, if I had your car I'd be using nothing but Mobil 1 0W-40, just what we've been using in our '04 9-5 Arc Sportwagon (and the two preceding it) since we got it. And I'd change the oil every 5K, and use a quality filter (I use a NAPA Gold 1348).
