2002's can be affected by sludge. If the oil pickup screen is indeed plugged up enough to be starving the engine of oil you'll notice some nasty sounds (clanking/knocking/anything really) right after starting it up.
2002's particularly are also known to have finicky transmission valve bodies, if the one you're looking at is an automatic. Most commonly there will be a delay between Park/Drive/Reverse, and the gear will suddenly engage with a BANG. This doesn't apply to manual transmission cars though.
If you're serious about the car I would 110% recommend that you bring it to a Saab SPECIALIZING shop (Midas doesn't count) to have the car looked over. It will be well worth the ~$200 if you find out the engine is about to nuke itself. Certainly have them check for PCV #6 and if it's not there and everything else checks out and you buy it, have it installed ASAP. Good luck!
