Went OEM. Did the job today. Used info from many posts new and old. Thanks. Borrowed a just-deep-enough 19mm 1/2 socket to get the sensor. Cake job. The Tstat was harder to get to but finally went with sockets and various extensions so could get the ratchet to a location where could turn it. I did take the battery out just to get to everything easier. I recommend this to anyone.
Hoses and insides looked great. Also decided to remove the fill tank and washed out with boiling water to get as much of the built up muck in it out. Did well. Nice and clean now. While draining ran fresh water into the fill tank with drain open and car warming to get it flushed out nicely. My indie had put a green coolant in it last time and I dont know what it was and wanted to get it all out before putting back my Saab blue.
Wonder: I never could get full 2 gallons out so wonder if I should do another drain and fill as there must still be some fresh water (not distilled) mixed with my Coolant. I probably will still need to top it off but managed to get back a little over 1.5 gals of new Saab blue coolant.
