One other not mentioned so far is that besides the extra wear on the tranny and the brakes, it will cost you some gas. When you put it in nutral, the engine is idling and using gas. With modern engine control units, when you let off the throttle while in gear, the engine actually shuts off (gas stops flowing) until the engine gets to a certain RPM level. Someplace between 1200 and 1400 RPM I believe.
