Hello,
Got your email about responding to this thread based on my previous GF rear shock experience. The shocks you pulled out sure LOOK like a Nivomat (big thick suckers compared to a regular shock, which you had in your photo for comparison) and your suspension code for rear shocks ("BB") on your little plate under the hood matches the code my GF wagon has. In fact, for reference, my GF wagon's full code is "CR-BX-E -F -2 -BB".
Sounds like somebody pulled the special wheels off of yours, that's a bummer! But your wagon should still be distinguishable from a regular Linear wagon by the load floor (which you already mentioned) as well as a perforated leather steering wheel, wood dash and the Aero body kit (lower front/rear air dams and side sills).
As you probably already know, you can't put those Monroes in there. The Nivomat suspension had the special shocks carrying a larger part of the car's weight than a standard suspension, which means the springs are much softer/lighter. Putting a standard replacement shock in there will result in the rear sagging as the current springs aren't expected to hold the weight by themselves. That's the way I understand it, anyway.
Good luck!
