Gene,
I am not replacing the pump. I just had a used pump put in three months ago to replace one that died on me (silent). I purchased the white elbow from eeuro and need to replace the feed side valve. I'm confident I can nurse it out of the pump assembly but have to cut the feed line to extract the presumably fault elbow and put on a new one. I rented a brake flare tool to hold the line in place while I try to jam the new elbow in. All the lines are right there under the seat, so access isn't a problem. I heard everything from heat gun for the feed line to microwave water and dip line to soften then wipe and work elbow in. I'm afraid that if I cut I'll have to undo the line at the fuel filter and pull out to reassemble.
