I have an 06 9-5 Sportcombi with everything except NAV with 46k miles on it. I've had it since 23k and it was a Saab CPO vehicle. For these 23k miles I have had the following replaced/repaired:
1. Battery
2. Throttle body
3. left front wheel speed sensor
4. left front wheel bearing
5. Had to replace the tires at 40k as when I got the car at 23k it had new tires, and I had an alignment done at 30k and they put shims in, but by then I think the tires had already started to cup, so make sure you look at the tires. As part of the CPO process the tires have to have a certain tread depth, but make sure they are worn evenly.
6. A few interior/exterior trim pieces were a bit off/loose.
7. Passenger front speaker grill kept popping off in the heat, eventually dealer fixed this.
With that said, all of that work above (except alignment) was covered by Saab with no problem. I have a great dealer down here in Phoenix who happily does any little repair I ask with a smile which is great. I also had a 00 9-3 that was CPO and my dealer in Boston was great about fixing anything, no questions asked.
If it was me, I would try to find one with lower miles since I would assume now you can get great deals on them, but it is great this is covered by the CPO warranty.
Just make sure you look the car over well and notice any little things that are off.
Lastly, I really like this car and am very happy with it. It is very comfy, has plenty of space and power, and handles great.
Good luck with your purchase!
