I went through the whole "what else do I need because no way all my problems are the links"...but they were! just do the links only for now. nothing else unless when you get the wheels off you actually see torn bushings or ball joint ripped open, etc. I thought my strut was bad but new $12each Saabsite links are on and feel great. I couldnt believe the difference! they seem to be same build as the OEM.
The Moogs might be worth it. I dont know. I dont know if the thickness of the link bar itself matters as much as the quality of the ball joints. for $35 incl ship for 2 links, I went the Nordics from Saabsite way and will see if they last 5+ years. I dont really think I'll be worrying about greasing them anyway (the Moogs you can add grease).
very easy DIY. get both wheels up and off. I like to use jack stands and hydrolic jacks at same time. one on each side. double coverage. 18mm socket and 18mm box-end wrench will be handy. the socket will be tough angle on the bottom one when trying to finish up real tight b/c of the control arm proximaty. the saabsite "Nordic" brand ones have 17mm flats on the opposite side so you will need an open end wrench 17mm (or adjustable...cring) for that.
