I parked my 2001 Aero 9-5 5 speed in a parking lot, went to do a quick errand and 20 minutes later it won't start. Had to walk home. Battery seems fine, was new 2 years ago, and it sounds like it's just about to turn over but doesn't quite make it. It has 105K miles on it and recently serviced a few weeks ago. Is this the direct ignition casette failure many folks talk about? What else could it be? Someone said it's too hot and let it cool down, but still in this day of modern cars with the computers doing everything, I don't beleive cars simply get too hot, unless of course the coolant is low which it isn't. Please shed some light on what the ailment might be, as I'm unfamiliar with 9-5 Aero models. I bought the car used 2 years ago. Could it be simply fuses are blown? I wasn't driving with the a/c on or doing anything crazy, just around town driving doing errands, so didn't notice any strange noises or smoke or pools of fluids under the car.
