Great timing, just passed inspection! (long) Posted by jgARC03SW [Email] (#1216) [Profile/Gallery] (more from jgARC03SW) on Thu, 1 Jul 2010 07:08:24 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So I was putting off inspection because of the ABS Xmas tree lighting that had been intermittent, but often coming on. It was due yesterday at the end of the month, and we were away for the last week. I left the Saab at the hotel parking lot at EWR for a week, came back and found a huge 6" scratch in the drivers side door >:( but otherwise okay - the ABS lights didn't come on during the 2 hour trip home so I figured now (yesterday) or never for the inspection.
Passed with no problems, and on the way home from work I get a CEL AND the ABS lights!! Great timing!!
The CEL was P0138, so I guess I should think about ordering a rear O2 sensor?
I cleared the CEL with my scanguage2 and the ABS lights did not come on this morning. The CEL hasn't reappeared, yet. It was cooler out this AM, and maybe that had something to do with it (though it was 90 at Newark when we left for a 2 hour highway trip home). I am trying to upload pictures of the pressure sensor on the ABS pump/module touching the firewall - well the fabric piece that is screwed onto the firewall anyway - last year when I had a tech2 reading it came up C0131 - Pressure Sensor, and the indy had not seen that code before. I have no other usual symptoms of the ABS Module failure - tacho and speedo are fine.
