The black switch I replaced Posted by jgARC03SW [Email] (#1216) [Profile/Gallery] (more from jgARC03SW) on Tue, 20 Jul 2010 14:02:59 In Reply to: Based on previous discussion I have an idea, Marcin, Tue, 20 Jul 2010 13:50:09 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
definitely activated the shift lock solenoid as I heard it clicking many many times as I struggled to put the new switch in. I thought I was going to break it with all the clicking so I unplugged the battery (cleaned up the corroded positive terminal as well).
So we might be getting somewhere here. Since I replaced the black switch and that did not change the intermittent ABS warning light behavior, is the other switch the same exact one? Can I put the old one that I removed in there if that is the one that connects to the ABS computer?? Likely the switch I removed wasn't the problem if the new one does the same thing - unless I damaged it getting the new one in which is possible. I could have hurt its feelings as well from cursing at it so many times.
I would look it up in WIS if I knew what I was looking for.
if replacing the other (identical??) switch is the key, then I might be able to fix it after all?
