High temp reading again last night.... Thunderstorms and tornado warnings rolled into town last night while we were at the art fairs held on closed off downtown streets. Everyone left at the same time, which coincided with the normal evening rush hour, with the expected accompanying horrific traffic jams. After being stuck in stop-and-go traffic for nearly 30 minutes the gage read high again. As soon as I hit the expressway everythign dropped to normal.
I installed a new thermostat, new temperature sensor, new coolant, and a new upper radiator hose while I had everything disassembled.
Looks like I need to follow Brett's advise and very gently pressure wash the fins of my radiator, intercooler, and A/C condensor to blow out all accumulated dirt and debris.
