...just swap ECUs willy-nilly on ANY Saab starting with the 9-5 and original 9-3. Almost all the ECUs talk to each other on the bus, and any changes in the boxes need to be done via Tech 2's "Spare Part Programming" for each changed ECU.
The basic issue is that you have at least TWO VINs floating around the bus. One for all the original components, and one (or more, depending on how many donors there were) for the changed components. The Trionic will not run if its VIN doesn't match the TWICE VIN.
Everything should be changed to be the same VIN that the car has on the build plate, door sticker, and VIN plate under the windshield.
Yes, the 4 cylinder will probably fire the motor, and yes, it'll run very poorly, because Trionic is a sequential injection, and you're trying to run 6 cylinders with the outputs for only four!
At least with the 9-5, you don't need the WIS workstation also, like you do with the 9-3 Sport Sedan & Sport Combi...
