Temps round here are averaging high 90's with high humidity.

Finding that the temp gauge on the car is fine while driving at highway speeds, but when in stop an go edges towards the red quite a bit.

Normally I just adjust my route so I don't have to drive stop and go, but when I have to drive citywise, I find myself cranking down the window, cranking up the heat to bleed the engine heat off so I don't damage anything.

I replaced the temp sensor and t-stat with the recommended OEM parts, made sure I had enough fluid etc.

Sure enough still happens.

I've heard that getting the fins cleaned out with a high pressure washer is a trick that works, especially in our area of the midwest (Twin Cities, lots of road work going on).

Any other possible culprits people might suggest to look at?
