The tensioner was making quite a racket on my '03 Aero at 58K miles. I had my indy do the whole pulley/belt replacement thing & it's all quiet under there now. My personal PITA at the moment is a rounded off oil drain bolt. Somehow, after 16 years of changing the oil on my SAABs, I've managed to round off the bolt, quite nicely. Yes, I used a Craftsman 6 pt. socket & still did it. So far, I've tried a pipe wrench, vise grips, channel lock pliers, (pfft, yeah right) and cursed at it. Today, at lunch, I went to Sears and bought a Bolt-out kit. My fingers are crossed..
I swear they make those drain plugs out of cheese or something.
