I don't find the ride to be harsher, but it is more stable over the little whoop-de-dos on expressway bridges and stiffer in the corners. Exactly what I was looking to gain.

The cost to go the other way would be aobut the same; ~$800 for all the parts, and another ~$600 for installation. Springs only would be less than half the cost. But like Les said, try it first and then decide.
