I wasn't able to find any 10w60 so i put in Castrol Syntec 5W50. My new pressure gauge floats between 22 and 28 on the highway, About 9-11 at a driving 1000 rpms, and 4-6 at a 700 rpm idle in neutral. If i play with the gas pedal a bunch i can get it to dip down to almost 0 and then hang around 2-4 once it settles. Still no oil light comes on.
I almost have to assume that being the reading is at the end of the cycle, there must be some pressure drop by that time or my light would come on. On the conservative side, if the light comes on at 6 and i can force a steady 2 with no light, then a minimum discrepancy from factory position of sender to oil filter mount would be a conservative 5. That would be 27-32 at 2000 rpm and 14-16 at 1000 rpm. Any thoughts?
Side note - oil pressure relief valve is still stuck.
