Just for another example:
99 V6 223,545 mi (bought in 2002 with 65k mi)
While it has not been problem free the v6 unique stuff has been limited (ckp sensor, oil cooler reseal, removed leaking recirc pump - unneeded)
water pumps are a wear item; I've replaced it 3x in 160k miles (including yesterday)
original: A/C compressor, PS pump, SAI pump, crank seal, climate control system (other than A/C expansion valve at 182k mi), turbo, front suspension
no unusual tire wear (if rotated properly)
original shocks, springs, fuel pump all lasted better than 210k miles - can't complain.
Sorry for the probs you've had. I bought a new 92 Chrysler Grand Caravan that was a complete disaster: in under 5 yrs: trans failed twice, abs failed twice, paint was pealing off vehicle -- got rid of it.
