First a new battery needs to be installed to remove the possibility of a bad, discharged battery.
If the engine is then cranking over fine but not starting it could be a fuel pump but the shop needs to check so that signal from CKP sensor is present and that the car has spark and that it is power present back at fuel pump connector but no sound from the pump.
If the engine had died while driving and that it had been no life whatsoever from the battery after that, it could have been a bad alternator and that the battery ran dry while driving.
