Hey guys, I was a member on this forum from 1999 to 2003 for the time I had a 1995 Saab 900 SE V6. I enjoyed the experience. I then had a 2004 Mazda 3 (big drop I'm telling you) then in 2006 I got a 2004 Cadillac CTS 3.6 and since 2009 I'm driving a 2009 CTS sedan 3.6 (base FE1, non-DI). I really enjoy the RWD and the car is very agile with a good balance of sportiness and comfort. I was considering at some point the 9-3 Aero but I prefered the 2009 RWD CTS which I felt had a much stiffer frame and being a more refined car.
But I think my first love brand (SAAB) is calling me. I saw at a local car show the new 9-5. Beautiful car in person, very comfy and I also like the interior, very roomy and I find the fit and finish pretty good. I am a Candian fellow and prices seem to be very steep, I think it's 51K for a 2.0T premium. So unfair since our CDN$ is actually higher than the US$ these days. Wondering how much I could bring it down when bargaining with the dealer. There is no way I could afford the XWD V6 so I would need to stick with a 2.0T FWD probably a Premium one. Anyone tried a 2.0T FWD yet ? I would really like to hear driving impressions about that one.
It's winter time here so I will probably wait until end of March or April before hitting a dealer for a test drive. Good thing is that they reopened 2 dealers about 30 mins apart from my home.
Good to be back on this forum, who know maybe I'll be here more often if I take the dive for a 9-5 at some point of time !
Thanks and cheers !
