Hi
I have a SAAB 9-5 3.0.
I recently had to replace the throttle body with a brand new one. Even though the original throttle body probems (and error codes) are gone. A new one has appeared, the P1701.
SAAB claims no knowledge of this code and to make things more confusing my car has been tuned by the previous owner, but the tuner claims no changes to the error codes.
The car will refuse to start maybe 1/4 times, with a rattling sound from the left of the dashboard. Most times error code P1701 is thrown and it might go into Limb Home Mode. Usually the problems occurs when I try to start in the cold. I have not yet got it while running the car at operating temperature.
Any advice of the meaning of P1701 or what can possibly be wrong would really help.
A thought I have is that the throttle body might need to be recalibrated, does any one know?
Any advise would be of great help!
