I had a bad run in with a nasty pothole on I64 East bout 10 days ago. As soon as I hit it (and it was one you could feel solids hitting solids ;) - I started getting vibration and a light thrumming noise.

I took it in last Saturday to my local tire place, and though the tire looked good, when they put it on the balancer, I heard the guy yell out "Oh my" and he came to get me. You could actually see the flatness of the inner wheel in the place it hit. I was surprised that it didn't shake and shimmy severely after seeing it and I simply couldn't believe it didn't pop that tire (2007 Aero).

He moved it to the rear, and I picked up a remanufactured one on eBay this week (looks as new). I am getting it put on in about 30 minutes this morning. Hopefully, that is all that happened (I am am going to have them give that tire a good inspection once they get it off the bad wheel).
